Mount St. Joseph Academy serves students in pre-K through eighth grade.   At Mount St. Joseph Academy your child will begin an educational journey by building a foundation for learning that will last a lifetime.   Our classes are designed to be small in size with an emphasis on personal attention.

MSJA was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1891.  Today the Mount is an independent school operating in the Catholic tradition.  Our philosophy is based on the core values of charity, justice, and unity. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the individual child.

Within an environment that fosters excellence tempered by gentleness, individual students are recognized and valued.

Academically challenging programs, teacher-directed and student-centered, ensure a well-rounded education, and meets or exceeds the New York State cirriculum guidelines.

Students at MSJA thrive in a diverse  multi-cultural community.

We have a new home:

Current students at Mount St. Joseph Academy are the first to attend at our beautiful new campus located at

15 Jewett Parkway at Main Street in Buffalo, New York.

The Mount has moved into a five building campus that was formerly anchored by the historic Central Presbyterian Church.

The campus is located along an educational corridor on Main Street.  Located in the Parkside Community, the new Mount St. Joseph Academy campus is a short walk from Frank Lloyd Wright's historic Darwin Martin House, and from Frederick Law Olmsted's Delaware Park.
